Bad Experience

Went to store to purchase sleeves to protect myself from the sun while playing golf. Team member approach me and told me not to steal the expensive golf balls and walk away. I proceeded to tell him I am not a tief and I left the merchandise. On my way out I let the cashier know. The store location is 17649 Dale Mabry Hwy N. Lutz, FL 33548 - 8**-**4-1241. Needless to say, I will never be back to any store related to Golf Galaxy!!! Sincerely, Javier

Had to call for promo codes

To access promo code and had been back n forth on virtual text, then I called the customer service line and spoke with Brittany, and she had solved the problem in under 5MINUTES!!! calling cs 1000% perfect!! Almost gave up, and I thought I would finally call for last try promotional and went smoothly

HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

Golf Galaxy rates a ZERO out of 5 stars in Customer Service. My son spent $1600 on irons and was told that he would have them in 6-8 weeks. it has been over 15 weeks and of course they are blaming Titleist. I understand that they cannot control the production of clubs by the manufacturer, but what they can control is someone updating the customer with status. We have had to call them multiple times and keep getting new "drop dead dates." Clearly the SPRINGDALE, OHIO location does not care ONE OUNCE about retaining customers. I will make sure that no one I know shops here....

No Instore Service

Friday, Jan 29, 2021: I visited the Golf Galaxy store located at 5078 Richmond Ave. in Houston, TX ready to spend $2000 on a new set of clubs I saw maybe 3 employees. One employee at the front checkout register one in the club fitting area and one in the repair shop. And about 3 customers in the store no employee came up to check with me to see if I needed assistance. After waiting 30 min looking at clubs I left. I guess all their business is now online due to COVID. I drove over to their new owner *** Sporting Goods and the same service at that location - service is non-existent.

Bait and Switch

Bought the Wingman Speaker, list priced for 149 but had coupon that said i would receive 20 off my purchase of 100. Problem is the coupon wasn't allowed because the speaker was price protected...what a crock...I am done with Golf Galaxy...the associate said yes certain items are price protected even though the coupon doesn't say it...

Treated poorly by store

In March 2019, I purchased a $400 Callaway driver from the Chantilly VA Golf Galaxy store. In October 2020, the driver's shaft broke in two. I took the two pieces to the Chantilly store hoping it would offer, or ask Callaway for, some discount on a new driver for which I was prepared to spend several hundred dollars. The store's manager offered to replace the shaft for free, but after picking up the club a week later, I realized that the store had substituted a steel shaft that was six inches shorter than the original graphite one, rendering the club unusable. After reading many negative customer comments about Golf Galaxy, it occurred to me that the manager had played a prank. The next day I purchased a new Callaway driver online at a price well below that offered by Golf Galaxy.

Fraud

Placed an order on 7/03/2020 with a very incompetent women who screwed up my credit card so I used my debit card only to just find out that they overcharged my card and did not even place the order and now will not refund my money!

I was ignored

I scheduled a 1:45 appointment June 2020 for a club fitting at the Chesterfield Valley, St. Louis, Mo location for a new set of irons. I showed up about 10 minutes early and was ignored for about a half hour. Didn't hit clubs, didn't talk to anyone, didn't do anything. I went to another retail golf store close by who has a good reputation. I already had a good idea of the irons I was interested in as I had been hitting a number of irons prior to Covid19 at Golf Galaxy. I tested clubs for an hour plus at the other store and received a lot of good advice. I bought a set of irons that day for $900. I guess Golf Galaxy is doing so well they don't need the business.

Bad customer service

Taylormade 3 wood they sold me less than a year ago. The head came off, the only broken part was the screw that held it on. So this place is the size of a super Walmart and they cant find a screw to fit it. Asked where I could get one and they dont know. Never really enjoyed shopping there, just dont have many options, but Im done with them!
